Have you ever wanted to know where the honey sold @ The Farmstand comes from? Beekeeper Dale Brooks, from Brooks’s Kounty Honey in New Berlin, will have his observation hive here (weather permitting) this Saturday, April 29th, to answer any questions you have and let you see how those bees work. (No, there’s no risk of getting stung!)
Alpaca Shearing Day
Want to see how our popular alpaca yarn & dryer balls begin? Willow City Farm's Alpaca Shearing Day is coming up Tuesday, May 9th, so "save the date" if you're interested in volunteering to help for a bit! It will most likely begin around noon will finish up about 5pm. (Due to fast moving large animals, it’s not a kid-friendly event. Sorry!) Just contact Tara if you’d like to help, and we’ll send you more info as we get it.

Tomorrow will be the last day to sign up for April’s Farm + Chef Takeaway Dinner. In case you missed it, you can read all about Chef Denise Perry’s amazing dinner here. As a reminder, your dinner will be available for pick up fresh with extended hours this Saturday, April 29th, from 9am - 3pm. If you cannot pick it up on Saturday but still want to order, no problem. You can pick it up later in the week with reheating instructions! “Breakfast for Dinner” @ Nico’s Homestyle, a four course “breakfast for dinner” is Sunday, April 30th at 5pm or 7pm. Be sure to get your reservations in here asap!

A new shipment of Sitka Salmon has arrived, & salmon steaks are back!
Our Ropp Jersey Cheese flavors this week are: Apple Cheddar • Colby • Green Olive Cheddar • Smoked Gouda • Smoked Cheddar • Sun Dried Tomato Cheddar • Cheese Curds Our new pork bratwurst flavors are here just in time for grilling season: Pineapple Teriyaki & Korean BBQ. We’ve also added all-beef brats! AND... Next week we'll have jerky snack sticks in! More info to come soon - we're still working out the final details.
LLCC Earth Day Vendor Fair
The Farmstand will open late at 2pm this Wednesday April 26th, while we participate in LLCC’s Earth Day Vendor Fair from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. @ the A. Lincoln Commons. It’s open to the public, so stop by! You can discover and learn about the various organizations, individuals, and businesses on campus and in the community working on programs, projects and educational tools geared toward sustainability and earth stewardship. We’re finally done incubating chicks & ducklings, which means we have more eggs available now!
