WHole HOg & Goats

We have one whole lamb that will be processed this morning, and available for pickup next week. You can purchase 1/2 or the entire lamb. The approximate price for the whole lamb (about 70-80 pounds) is around $500 plus processing. (Processing on a whole lamb typically runs $100 - $125 depending on your preferences. A 1/2 lamb will be around $250, and $50-$75 processing. This equals about $8-9/lb vs. $14/lb for retail cuts. If you are interested, please let us know asap so we can get your butcher sheets turned in! Here's where you can place your deposit and complete your cut sheet.

The next whole hog will be available the week of September 25th. These are amazing heritage breed show pigs that some of you may have seen at the Illinois State Fair. The price will be about $250 - $300 for the hog and about $100 - $140 for processing fees, depending on your specs per half. We only have 2 left, so let us know asap if you are interested. You can place a deposit on our website and view cutting instructions here.

Goats + Yoga @ Willow City Farm!

So it seems these days people LOVE goat yoga. (The idea anyway. Has anyone around here actually tried it yet?) Well, we have goats + a big arena + my best friend, Kim, is a certified yoga instructor. So... why not? (Please don't answer that. It was rhetorical question. My husband already tried, and gave me the same eye roll as the time I said "Why not start a farm?) Come for goat yoga & nama-stay for a drink & snacks, + meet some of the animals of WCF. FYI, you do NOT need to be a yogi, flexible like Gumby, or even own a yoga outfit. This is a class for all ages and experience levels. Save the date – October 22nd! There’s lots more info to come. Follow the FB event here.
