About The Event

You have heard of Puppies + Yoga by Willow City Farm, right? Introducing...

Puppies + Yoga by Willow City Farm @ Indian Creek Farmstead!

Come for the yoga and nama-stay for some cocktails, shopping, and farm time! The Shoppe at Indian Creek Farmstead Botique will be open during the event! They sell boutique type clothing, jewelry, cowhides, decor, purses, and notecards from local photographers. The event will be held indoors, so no need to worry about the rain!

Light snacks will be provided and Mimosas will be for sale!

Willow City Farm breeds, trains, and sells Livestock Guardian Dogs. Two of our Great Pyrenees working dogs, Angora and Huck, had a litter of their own adorable Great Pyrenees on April 9th. Before these dogs leave to go work at their new farms across the country, we're having a one-time going away event for them... Puppies + Yoga!

Enjoy some outdoor time with ELEVEN big white 7-week-old fluff balls! Just like our Goats + Yoga program, you don't have to be a seasoned yogi to join us. All skill levels are welcome! Cannot make this class? We're offering three classes:

Dixie, June, Dolly, Bently, Waylon, Willie, Merle, Cash, Hank, Banjo, and Cowboy cannot wait to play with you!

What is a Livestock Guardian Dog?? (LGD)

Willow City Farm raises a wide variety of livestock, and must keep them protected from coyotes, opossum, raccoons, minks, beavers, muskrats, and a plethora of other predators. We keep them safe with the use of our two Great Pyrenees and one Italian Maremma Shepherd, Huck, Angora, and Sawyer.

LGDs are considered working dogs, and an integral part of our farm. Although they are considered livestock, @ WCF, they are our pets, too. The puppies you will meet are not for adoption to tradional households, but will be adopted to other farmers and rachers all over the country as working livestock.

Livestock guardian dogs stay with the group of animals they protect as a full-time member of the flock or herd. Their ability to guard their herd is mainly instinctive as the dog is bonded to the herd from an early age. Unlike herding dogs, which control the movement of livestock, LGDs blend in with them, watching for intruders within the flock.
