Willow City Farm

Willow City Farm, located just 6 miles west of Veterans Parkway, now offers outdoor private parties, tours, and venue rental.

Willow City Farm @ the Bomke Homestead is nestled on 74 acres, just six miles west of Springfield.  Our venue offers rustic simplicity, and features wide-open spaces…the perfect place to gather with friends and family with nearly unlimited guest capacity.

 

There’s plenty of room on the  grounds for kids to run and play and have a great time!  Our spacious grounds offer unlimited options for gatherings of all types and sizes. We host receptions, reunions, festivals/fairs, company picnics, corporate events, and other private gatherings. PLUS, you can choose to add special attractions to your event, such as hayrides and bonfires.  You can even have a private Goats + Yoga class or offer pony rides!

While you and your guests are at the farm, you'll have the option to meet and feed the calves, goats, lambs, sheep, horses, and alpaca, collect chicken eggs, and learn all about livestock and safety on a farm if you'd like.

 

We have seasonal craft projects that include painting with baby chicks, planting seeds, or painting pumpkins.  Guests can tour barns coops and even an outhouse that are over 100 years old and moved to the farm by  draft horses.   We'll even discuss the historic carpentry used to build these  buildings!

We work with local beer and food vendors to help you offer everything  your guests need!  We are currently giving tours and booking events for 2024.

New for 2024:

Our new barn was completed in June of 2023!  We now have the extra space for our animals and another spot for you to enjoy a private party at  our working farm.  While it was emotional seeing the 100+-year-old original Bomke barn come down, it is exciting to see the new one in use.  The new 48 x 72 Morton barn is fully equipped with radiant heating and is completely powered by solar power.  We could not be more grateful to the Charland's and everyone who made it happen!

Private Goat rental / Barnyard Yoga Classes

Looking for something different to do with your girlfriends?  Need a cool new idea for a baby or bridal shower?  How about a bachelorette party no one will forget?  Private paddle board yoga at our quiet pond?
