Service Description

We are excited to offer outdoor yoga at our pond! REAL yoga this time... No goats or alpaca included (although you will still see them from your yoga spot)! No cocktails included this time, either, but if you want to spike your coffee, no judgement here! Classes will take place at Willow City Farm's private pond. You can park in the circle drive of the farm, and you can follow the signs to the pond! Weather: If it is raining, or due to rain, or has recently rained and the grass is too wet, we will cancel the outdoor class. Come 15 minutes early, especially the first time, so that you can find the group without stress. What to Bring: Large Towel (for under your mat if the grass is wet), yoga mat, water bottle, blocks (if you'd prefer), and bug spray!! (We have plenty if you forget. The area is treated for mosquitos, but it does not hurt to have some extra protection!) SOCIAL DISTANCE: One of the ethical practices of Yoga is called Ahimsa, which means doing no harm to other. We have plenty of room to maintain at least 6 feet of distance from others in all directions! About the Yoga and the Instructor: Ali Griffith has been teaching yoga for over 8 years locally and teaches several different styles. The morning's practice will be a Hatha flow with focus on breath, mind and body. In this class, postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Full-body relaxation and balance are the goals, as we make a full circuit of the body’s range of motion with standing postures, twists, backbends, forward folds, and hip openers. Yoga has many benefits including improving flexibility/mobility, strengthening core muscles, maintaining healthy joints, stimulating the immune system, promoting discipline, improving sleep quality while calming the mind and easing anxieties.
